Roles
- Joss = Coding
- Nic = Vectorising + Animatioin
- Renee = Design
We’ll all input in each other’s areas but these are the general roles.
Minimum Viable Deliverable
4 levels
- 1 tutorial level (easy)
- 3 levels (progressively harder)
What is the game?
- Physics Puzzler
Why do I want to play this?
- Challenging
- Visually pleasing
- Real world message
- FUN!
How do I play this?
- Mouse controlled (click + drag)
- Play button (to start windmills)
- Select component and drag to correct place in scene
Fail = Not solving the puzzle correctly (such as using the wrong fan)
Do I want to play it again?
Yes - After watching yourself fail a level, you would want to complete the level you failed and continue to the next.
Do I want to show it to others?
Yes! - Because we will be proud of what we have completed.
What does the game look like?
- Natural colours
- Earthy tones
- Soft
- Easy to look at
- Dead
Is the mechanic and the message closely tied? Does the audience get the message?
Yes - the aim of the game (mechanic) is to get the seed to the healthy
land so it can grow as the rest of the land is dark and gloomy and dead.
This mechanic relates to the real world as things don’t grow in
uncared for land. The way we have used the sunlight to power the
windmills also works with the message.
Is this a complete game that can grow?
Yes - more levels could easily be added, along with more components
(such as different fan angles, different shaped prisms and moveable
mirrors).
For the crit we are thinking of making a small powerpoint showing exactly where we are at with our game. Our main focus is to get the working prototype going.
