After showing Ben my sketches and telling him about my idea he gave me the idea of maybe having the droplet sort of shrivel up and get angry when he sees a tap running and water being wasted. It would sort of give the sense that his friends (other water droplets) are being wasted.
I do really like this idea and am definitely considering it.
